Royal Retreat – Stay at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate and Be Neighbors of Kate and Prince William

If you have ever want to live like a King or Queen, you can have a taste of a royal retreat. Royal fans can stay at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate and even see what it feels like to be neighbors with Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Two guesthouses on the Queen’s royal estate have been opened for those looking for a royal retreat. If you want an experience beyond touring the house, gardens, and museum, you can be a guest of Queen Elizabeth and stay at Garden House or The Granary.

The Garden house was formerly home to the royal Head Gardener. The cottage is furnished and features a fully fitted kitchen and a washing machine. (Accommodations that offer onsite laundry are always wonderful. They help you save space in your luggage by allowing you to pack less and help you avoid stuff smelling clothes in your bag at the end of a trip.) The Garden House also has three twin rooms, one double room, two bathrooms, drawing room, sitting room and dining room, and a cloakroom.

The Granary is a quainter guesthouse located at Great Bircham. The recently-completed luxury barn conversion has three bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a small enclosed garden with patio. It overlooks the ornamental square garden near the house, so you might see a royal! Prince William and Kate Middleton are frequent visitors the main house, and their home, Anmer Hall, is located on the estate. You can even get a feel of the late Princess Diana, who was born at Park House, which has been turned into a hotel for guests with disabilities.

Make sure to explore the area, too! Norfolk is packed with things to do. Lovely beaches and plenty of historical estates packed with gorgeous gardens are all great options for a relaxing trip.
