Nikki DeLoach Promotes Peanuts "Rock The Vote" Initiative - Win A 'Rock The Vote' Prize Pack #GiveawayElection season is officially upon us, and this year’s Presidential election is everywhere that we turn. Now more than ever it is time to start teaching our children the values of Democracy and the importance of taking interest in current events. Every vote does matter, and it is important that we teach the next generation to let their voices be heard and VOTE!

rock-the-vote-circleThere is truly nothing more American than Snoopy and the Peanuts brand, so it seems fitting that the classic comic strip is taking an interest in the 2016 election, and helping to create awareness about the importance of voting.

My family absolutely adores the Peanuts gang, and their Rock The Vote initiative is just one of the reasons I love the brand. Not only are they wholesome, and family-oriented, they are also encouraging our kids to take an interest in the election. Who better to teach my granddaughter Ava about the Presidential Election this November, than Snoopy? She may not be old enough to vote for several more years, but it’s integral to get her interested in politics and government at a young age so she sees the importance of it as she grows older.

The other day I sat down with my granddaughter Ava and I read her the different policies that Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and the rest of the gang were campaigning for. Of course, Ava decided she wanted to vote for Snoopy. Who could resist his platform, “PIZZA ON EVERY TABLE! VICTORY OVER THE RED BARON! SUPPORT FOR THE UNDERDOG!

THE RACE SO FAR!

The Peanuts Rock The Vote webpage isn’t just fun and games though. They also have a Rock The Vote store, where you can purchase merchandise for your family to wear to support the movement, and spread awareness about voting in the elections this year. My granddaughter Ava has been rocking an adorable red T-shirt with photos of the Peanuts characters, including Charlie Brown and Snoopy. I have been sporting a super gray T-Shirt campaigning for Woodstock and Snoopy, both shirts have the Rock The Vote logo.

CELEB ENDORSEMENT – NIKKI DELOACH

Nikki DeLoach Promotes Peanuts "Rock The Vote" Initiative - Win A 'Rock The Vote' Prize Pack #GiveawayTons of celebrities have been partnering up with Peanuts to help raise awareness about the importance of voting in the 2016 elections. And, one of those celebs is the very talented Nikki DeLoach. Nikki recently gave an interview to promote Peanuts Rock The Vote, and she had some pretty important stuff to say!

Nikki explained the origin behind Peanuts Rock The Vote and dished, “This is a partnership between Peanuts and Rock the Vote, which is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that’s been encouraging and helping young people to register to vote since 1990.”

DeLoach also revealed that in honor of the upcoming Presidential Election, Schulz Museum currently has two political themed displays up right now. The actress dished, “One is called Snoopy Presents: Lucky Dogs and Presidential Pets, and it features photos and fun facts about presidential pets. The exhibit goes all the way back to George Washington’s hunting hounds and Thomas Jefferson’s riding horses, and it also includes presidential pets you probably never heard about, like President John Quincy Adams’ pet alligator, who lived in the White House in an unfinished East Room bathtub!”

If you live near Santa Rosa, California or happen to be passing through, we highly recommend checking out the Schulz Museum. The entire museum is a tribute to the talented comic strip creator Charles Schulz and his lifetime of work. If you are a fan of Peanuts and Charlie Brown, it’s a must-see! The museum opened in 2002, and has been growing by leaps and bounds every year, it’s certainly worth the trip!
