Many know New Orleans as the best place to celebrate Mardi Gras. While that is true, New Orleans is so much more than just parades and parties. In fact, there is so much it has to offer. Here are 10 Must See Things in New Orleans, to inspire you to truly enjoy everything about New Orleans.

1. New Orleans City Park

With over 1,300 acres of beautiful greenery, botanical gardens and walking trails, this over 150-year-old park has it all. The New Orleans city park has one of the largest groves of live oaks in the world. Many of these trees date back over 800 years. Families can gather for a spin on the antique carousel, hop on a scenic train ride or watch jazz musicians perform while enjoying a picnic. This park also has the New Orleans Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden within its grounds.

2. St. Charles Streetcar

This streetcar line has been operating since 1835. Check out the Garden District’s famous antebellum mansions or ride to another beautiful New Orleans’s attraction, Audubon Park. No visit to New Orleans is complete without a ride on this amazing streetcar line.

3. National World War II Museum

This museum is the country’s official World War II Museum. It features several different exhibits that take a look at the sacrifices made, the reasons behind the war itself and the extreme cost of freedom. When you enter this establishment, you will be issued a set of dog tags before visiting the hands-on exhibits and intimate portrayals.
