Even though there are still several Covid-19 hotspots in the world, which include the United States, Brazil, Russia, and even South Africa, Viking Cruises is looking to the future. The highly-rated cruise line is known for providing river, ocean, and expedition journeys and is looking to bring guests on an unforgettable journey that will hopefully let them put all of the worries and troubles from this year into the past the moment they step onboard their luxurious cruise line.
The 136-day cruise about the Viking Star will visit 27 different countries with stops at 56 ports. Guests will begin their journey in Fort Lauderdale beginning on Dec. 24, 2021. Guests will also have the option to embark in Los Angeles on Jan. 10, 2022 for the remainder of the 119-day trip.
“This has been an unusual year for all travelers, but we remain focused on the future and are pleased to offer our guests a new destination-focused World Cruise that allows for extensive exploration in 2021-2022,” said Torstein Hagen, the cruise line’s chairman, in a statement.
The Viking Star will carry 930 passengers and will head to Central America before making its way through the Panama Canal and North America’s West Coast. It will then cross through the Pacific Ocean and make stops in Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, and many parts through Asia, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean.
For those looking to make such a journey, the 136-day cruise will start at $49,995 per person, should they choose to begin in Fort Lauderdale. For those who will embark in Los Angeles, the cost will be $45,995. The cost includes business class international airfare to and from the ship, tips and service fees, visas, a beverage package, and free luggage shipping. Early birds who book by September 30th will get a $2,000 credit towards shore excursions and $1,000 in onboard credit.
As many cruise travelers and aficionados know, Viking Cruises has always been ahead of its class for many different reasons. The service and comfort are key and just two of the reasons why so many guests come back for more Viking adventures year after year.
Every cruise fare includes an outside stateroom, a complimentary shore excursion in each port of call, all onboard meals, and all port charges and government taxes. Guests also enjoy many complimentary amenities as part of their fare, including beer and wine with lunch and dinner service; alternative restaurant dining; free Wi-Fi; self-service laundry; access to the Thermal Suite in the LivNordic Spa; and 24-hour room service.
