Heading west of French Polynesia, the Cook Islands is a pristine paradise with no fancy resorts or buildings taller than a coconut palm. Its hub is Rarotonga, with coral reefs and almost untouched lagoons, backed by mountains, soaring to 2,000 feet above. Heading to Aitutaki, with its waving palms and idyllic beaches, gives guests access to One Foot Island, said to be one of the best beaches in Polynesia.

Heading even further west lies the Kingdom of Tonga and the Fiji Islands. Tonga is especially iconic as it hosts Polynesia’s only remaining monarchy. The island takes pride in being a nation never colonized by a foreign power.

The 14-night Fiji, Tonga, Cook & Society Islands Itinerary sails between Papeete and Lautoka, while crossing the International Date Line. Due to this, you could be traveling for 12 or 13 days, depending on which direction you are sailing.
