Viking Announces Stunning New 2024 -2025 World Cruise Itineraries

Viking has announced its exciting 2024 -2025 World Cruise Itineraries. Among the thrilling journeys is the new Viking World Voyage I, an around-the-world-in-180 days adventure.

This iconic voyage will take Guests around the world in 180 days, visiting 37 countries and 85 ports, with overnight stays in 13 iconic cities. The trip begins on December 19, 2024, from Fort Lauderdale and from there the itinerary includes ports of call in five continents. The ship will circumnavigate the globe when it returns to the United States for its final port in New York on June 17, 2025.

The announcement of the new World Cruises coincides with record high sales for Viking. When the company debuted its new 25th Anniversary Sale on January 1 the result was the highest number of bookings in a single week. On January 9 alone, Viking experienced its strongest single sales day in the company’s history.

Guests on Viking’s award-winning 930-guest ship, the Viking Sky for the 2024-2025 World Cruise Itinerary will explore ports of call in Central America, transit the Panama Canal, and journey up the West Coast of North America.

From there the ship will sail across the Pacific Ocean and before visiting the Hawaiian Islands and French Polynesia. Onward from there the ship will traverse New Zealand and Australia then sail through Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Next the voyage continues across the Atlantic then concludes in New York.

Viking’s New World Cruise Itinerary

An abbreviated 163-day portion of the sailing, the Viking World Voyage II, is also available. It departs from Los Angeles on January 5, 2025 and travels to 29 countries and 78 ports before ending in New York. Guests also have the option of taking the 138-day Viking World Cruise itinerary from Ft. Lauderdale to London or the 121-day voyage, Viking World Journeys which departs from Los Angeles and visits 23 countries before ending in London.

Highlights of the magnificent World Cruise include overnight stays in 13 ports, including Sydney, Haifa, Singapore and Istanbul, with double overnights in Auckland, Bali, Ho Chi Minh, Yangon, Mumbai and Bergen. Guests are offered cultural enrichment via onboard lectures and entertainment including the Viking Resident Historian® program, as well as Privileged Access® visits to cultural institutions.

World Cruise Highlights

In Auckland, New Zealand guests will experience three days in in the city known for its award-winning wines, tree-lined parks and love of boating. In Singapore, Guests have the option of taking a tour of the city’s eclectic neighbourhoods, from Little India to Arab Street or enjoying a Night Safari at the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park.

In Mumbai, India guests can enjoy the Hanging Gardens, as well as the picturesque narrow streets of Old Mumbai. In Istanbul, Turkey guests can visit the stunning Blue Mosque or the iconic Hagia Sophia.

In London England Guests may stroll through the historic Royal Borough of Greenwich, London on the Thames River, plus tour the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

And, in New York City, New York Guests can traipse through the thrilling streets of Lower Manhattan financial to the warm avenues warrens of Greenwich Village.
