I stayed four days at the Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC with my hubby.  The quality and luxury of the rooms are comparable to top hotels we have stayed at in New York City.  We were beyond happy.

We stayed in a Motion Room and it was huge, luxurious and tastefully decorated. It had an exercise machine near the front window that was sectioned off from the rest of the room, it even had a television. The bathroom had a huge Fuji tub and Aveda Spa products.   Who does not love Aveda?

The main bedroom was big and the linens were of high quality, the bed was extremely comfy. The main room came with a bigger flat screen television, DVD player and iPOD docking station.   We were absolutely shocked at the price we got this hotel for.  Not only was the hotel more than we expected, the staff was attentive, polite and extremely helpful.

Not only is the hotel excellent but the hotel provides wine an canapes later in the day at their Wine Social.  The wine was very good quality and the canapes good. I saw many people having a couple of drinks.

We tried the Urbana restaurant was also good, but a bit pricey  We ordered room service once and the food was good, but it was also a little pricey with the additional costs added on the bill for room service.

If you are staying at the Palomar as a tourist be warned, tourist sights are not within walking distance. The hotel is a little far from the main attractions but there is a subway near by.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
