Americans are thrilled to welcome the royal couple. Everyone is gawking and trying to catch a glimpse Wills and Kate, who encompasses such style and class. So, what do royalty do on the east coast? Here is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s New York Trip – all the details!
The British royalty are staying at The Carlyle. There suite will set the average Joe back about $14,000 per night. It’s the hotel Princess Diana stayed in during her visit in 1989.
On Monday, Prince William and Kate will split to attend various events…
William will head to Washington, D.C. There, he will meet with President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, separately. After their meet and greet, the Prince will go to the International Corruption Hunters Alliance conference at the World Bank. A luncheon will follow, before he returns to The Big Apple for a conservation reception with Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.
Kate will meet with Chirlane McCray, where she will visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem. Her lunch will hosted by the British Consul General in New York.
The couple will then reunite for a Brooklyn Nets game and watch the team take on the Cavaliers.
On Tuesday, the royals will stick together to visit the National September 11 Memorial Museum. After stopping by the Memorial Reflection Pools, Will and Kate will visit youth organizations – The Door in NYC and the City Kids Foundation. After learning about the services’ support for art in education, the couple will enjoy a reception at NEUEHOUSE. William will then make a solo trip to the Empire State Building for another reception, with Mayor Bill de Blasio to celebrate American and British entrepreneurs.
Finally, the will arrive at one of their final scheduled stops at the University of St. Andrews 600th anniversary dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
It’s anyone’s guess what they will do with their limited free time. Upon landing, the couple did dine at British advertising legend Sir Martin Sorrell’s apartment in Gramercy Park.
