10 Free Things to Do at Disney World

There is no question that a trip to Disney World can be quite expensive. However, the good news is, once you arrive, there are a number of free things that you and your kids can enjoy. Learn about the top 10 free things to do at Disney World here.

Watch the Fireworks

You don’t have to stay inside the parks to see the pyrotechnics that ends each day. You can sit on the beach at the Polynesian Village, or watch the fireworks while eating dinner at the California Grill. The best part is, the fireworks are free!

Play with Legos

At Disney Springs, which is just a short jaunt away from the Magic Kingdom, your kids can enjoy playing in the Lego Imagination Center, which as a free 3,000 sq. ft. play area.

Take Tours of the other Resorts

You don’t have to say at your resort the entire time. You can take complementary guided tours of any resort at Disney World. Some of the tours even include free food.

Visit Live Animals

At the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can see exotic animals up close and personal, including zebras and giraffes. There are also horses at the Tri-Circle-D ranch, which is close to Fort Wilderness.

Watch a Movie

When the weather is good, most of the Disney World hotels offer guests free, outdoor movies. Some even provide free food!

Ride the Monorail

There’s no charge and you get an amazing bird’s eye view of the entire Magic Kingdom. You can even ride in the front with the monorail driver is you request this when boarding.

Sit by the Campfire with Chip ‘n’ Dale

At the Fort Wilderness Resort, you can roast marshmallows for free and enjoy a sing along with the fun chipmunks Chip ‘n’ Dale.

Search for Hidden Mickeys

There are all types of hidden Mickey Mouse heads throughout the Magic Kingdom. You can even get a paper at the front gate to find all the Mickey’s and mark what you find.

Learn to Draw

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you can let your child learn to draw from a real artist.

Listen to Music

If you visit the Grand Floridian Resort, you may be able to enjoy live music from a pianist or jazz band.
