While it may have ended, to the dismay of millions of its fans, the show will go on, but this time as a Schitt’s Creek-themed cruise. Onboard the Celebrity Summit, Moira’s Party Boat: Ew, Cruising, will run for four nights. Meanwhile, the itinerary is set to depart from Miami, with a stop at Key West, Florida and Nassau, on the Caribbean island of the Bahamas.
Themed activities on the Celebrity Summit
Schitt’s Creek fans might not be able to visit the fictional Canadian town, but they do have the option of a themed cruise. It’s all aboard the Celebrity Summit A.K.A. “Moira’s Party Boat: Ew, Cruising!” which will set sail from Miami on March 30, 2023. The cruise will stop in at Key West, Florida, before heading on to Nassau in the Bahamas. Once the fun is over, the cruise returns to Miami on April 3, 2023.
The cruise’s themed events are topical, including “Bébe’s Chamber Wig Sail Away Party with Fruit Wine,” “A Little Bit of Rosé Pool Party” and “Alexis’s Bar Crawl.”
Pricing for the cruise
As noted by Cruise Critic, 14 different room types are available for booking, starting with an interior room at $999.99 per person. Alternatively, oceanview cabins start at $1,247.99 and rooms with balconies start at $1,547.99.
Going up, next there are Concierge Class balcony rooms, starting at $1,802.99 and suites run from $2,699.99 up to $3,999.99. All fares as per person, per room, based on double occupancy. If you are traveling solo, you can expect to pay a bit more for the single supplement.
Whichever category you book, the first and second passengers in the room get the classic alcohol package and free Wi-Fi, and crew gratuities are included. However, any additional people in a room will only include crew gratuities. They are also upgraded to the premium alcohol package.
However, it doesn’t matter which room you book, everyone will get free access to the Key West Alexis Bar Crawl excursion. On top of that, you will get access to the onboard ”The Crowening Party.”
About Schitt’s Creek
For those who don’t know, the critically acclaimed comedy told the story of a shallow, filthy-rich family who lose their fortune. This forces them to live in a small town that they bought as a joke. You just need to think about the title of the comedy and you will get the punch line. The series premiered in Canada in 2015 and then headed to Pop TV in the US.
The original run of the show ended in 2020, when co-creator Dan Levy decided it was time to stop. Meanwhile, Schitt’s Creek was kept all in the family. The TV father was played by Levy’s real-life father, Eugene, who was also a co-creator. Meanwhile, Annie Murphy played the sister, while Catherine O’Hara played the mother.
When the show hit Netflix in 2017, its popularity soared. Schitt’s Creek went on to nab its first Emmy nominations in 2019, including Best Comedy Series. Meanwhile, it earned several Emmys in one year, including Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Lead Actress. It also won Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress, making it a first for any comedy or drama series to win all four major categories.
However, you are warned – you won’t get to see the real David, Stevie, Alexis, Moira or Johnny Rose onboard. However, the cruise is a gift to true fans of Schitt’s Creek and a worthy way to say goodbye to the series.
