Sometimes still referred to as Limassol, Lemesos is one of the underrated cities on the island. Its historic center spreads out from the castle and is full of character. Exploring the city’s narrow streets reveals modern boutiques next to ancient shuttered homes. Moreover, Lemesos features many restaurants and bars, along with a glamorous marina and also features excellent beaches.

The coastal city of Larnaca is famous for its gorgeous beach promenade, known locally as the Finikoudes. The promenade is ideal for strolling in the fresh sea air, people-watching, and stopping for a refreshing drink or coffee along the way. Heading inland, the modern downtown is a shopping paradise. Moreover, the Turkish quarter of Skala is a fascinating visit with its whitewashed homes.
