Meanwhile, new activities have been launched in the area, a natural ice rink, a sled roller coaster and tubing fun. New winter activities at Sierra Nevada resort
Sierra Nevada, a winter resort in Granada, recently opened its new season for skiing and snowboarding. However, the winter resort can also be enjoyed by those without skis. Meanwhile, the resort went several steps further from skiing by offering a range of new, fun activities to enjoy in the winter months.
Go tubing this winter
Among the new features are family leisure activities areas in the snow at various points, including Borreguiles and Mirlo Blanco, in Pradollano. One of these activity areas is located at the lower station of the Veleta chairlift in Borreguiles, where Cetursa has created an activity area for the family, offering tubing.
Here, fun seekers can descend a route on giant donut-shaped inflatables. This activity costs €11 ($11.86) for thirty minutes and is on offer from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Ice skating in Sierra Nevada
The ice skating rink measures 37 m (121 ft) in length, with an 18 m (59 ft) width and the price of €8 ($8.63) per hour includes skate rental.
Moreover, a trampoline is available from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at a per person price of €2 ($2.16)
Where to buy tickets for winter activities
The new activities are managed by Multiocio, the company that organizes Christmas activities in Granada city. It has made available ticket machines where tickets for the attractions can be purchased.
Besides the activities mentioned, Cetursa also offers various combined packages of leisure activities including gondola ski lift tickets at more affordable prices. On the company’s website, a half hour of fun in the Borreguiles area, including a sleigh ride and the gondola lift ride at €29 ($31). Meanwhile, another option offers a half hour of the Mirlo Blanco activities in Pradollano at the end of the Rio ski run, for €12.50 ($13.48).
