Looking for a culinary experience on a luxurious train? In spring 2025, three Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck will lead the onboard culinary program on La Dolce Vita Orient Express. Partnering with Maltese Consulting, chef Beck is set to offer unique dining experiences to capture the essence of Italy’s culture, landscapes and flavors through his unique and expertly crafted menus.

As reported by CNN, the chef’s inspiration will be taken from the 14 Italian regions that are traveled on the La Dolce Vita Orient journey. Meanwhile, the new train’s eight routes include a Tuscan vineyard tour of Montalcino and a truffle route tour between Rome and Nizza Monferrato

Chef Beck is renowned globally for his culinary expertise in Italian cuisine. Moreover, he is known for his approach to combining indulgence with wellness by adding only the finest ingredients. Moreover, he explains that his “culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in an appreciation for Italy’s rich heritage, which I combine with a modern, health-conscious approach.”

Chef Beck was asked to comment on his new role on the luxurious train and said:

La Dolce Vita Orient Express project represents for me and the Beck and Maltese Consulting team a wonderful opportunity to create e new path to disclose the Italian gastronomy culture. The Guests will have the chance to discover our beautiful country not only through its landscapes but also through our menus: from the early morning until the midnight snacks.

We want to spread the Made in Italy knowledge in a new different way, showcasing the different traditions of each region so the passengers will be able to create a stronger and deeper connection with the territory.

Italy’s first luxury train was inspired by the glamour of Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. It offers eight exclusive routes to iconic destinations while celebrating Italy’s cultural wealth and exceptional cuisine.

Each itinerary features its own tailored menu and will include regional dishes, including Venetian tiramisu, Sicilian arancini and more. Meanwhile, this culinary experience is aided by “Rome’s Ghost Kitchen” artisans who ensure that each plate is a masterpiece of freshness and precision.
