Taiwan to offer a digital nomad visa
Digital nomads could soon have the option to combine stays in Japan and Taiwan for an extended stay in East Asia as Taiwan adds itself to the list of countries offering visas.
In one example, remote workers could travel to Taiwan after using Japan’s non-extendable six-month visa.
Currently, European Union tourists can enjoy a 90-day, visa-free access to Taiwan. However, they are not permitted to work during this time. Meanwhile, Liu also announced plans to make it easier for skilled, high-earning foreign workers to gain permanent residence in Taiwan.
