Moreover, the train offers two different experiences for passengers, including the Vista Dome, an unforgettable experience much like the Rocky Mountaineer. This option offers passengers access to the best views from the domed windows encircling the cabin. Moreover, guests can enjoy the fresh mountain air while taking some incredible photos on the open-air terrace. The Vista Dome offers a full-service bar and locally sourced food in the 403 Grill.
A couple of novelty packages can also be enjoyed on the train, including the festive Santa Express and the fun Murder Mystery Dinner Train.
How often does the train run?
The Royal Gorge Route Railroad offers around four daily departures, heading from Canõn City to Parkdale and back. As for pricing, Coach is the cheapest, starting at $89 for morning departures. However, for all the extras, the First-Class Dinner of Lunch options are the best.
