Feedback By Travelers
Despite being much touted as a destination in Mexico, it should be noted that the place seems rather more suited to families than solo travelers. Mixed reviews from TripAdvisor show that not everyone feels the place is top-notch. Here’s a review that recently criticized service:
We…booked a deluxe room in the Select Club, but when we arrived we were told that the entire Select Club area was closed for renovations. This information was not made available on the website; we got an email from them days after we arrived informing us of the renos…In the end we had to change rooms FOUR times…
That doesn’t mean that the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort is universally disliked. Here’s a totally different opinion:
Where do I start with this hotel? The rooms are amazing, the food is very good with lots of different choices. However nothing and I mean nothing can prepare you for the magical wildlife that’s all around you!…It is truly a little piece of paradise.
Mixed responses seem to criticize the speed of service, a lack of maintenance, and indifference to closed areas. Meanwhile, the upside seems to be nature, pools, many different activities, and the natural beauty.
