Cruisers can look forward to special Silver Anniversary voyages with Disney Cruise Line in summer 2023 as the cruise line turns 25. All five ships in the fleet will feature updated entertainment, merchandising and décor to celebrate the anniversary.
Disney Cruise Line to celebrate Silver Anniversary in 2023
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Disney Cruise Line is pulling out all the stops. The Silver Anniversary celebrations will include new uniforms for Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse. These include a multi-colored fabric with swirling motifs inspired by the magical glow of sunshine on turquoise ocean waves.
Moreover, a new trademark tune will be played during the anniversary voyages, inviting guests to sing along. Guests will have also access to the “Shimmering Seas Collection” of clothing, drinkware, souvenirs and accessories, all in the new distinctive color.
Meanwhile, during the cruise, guests will get to enjoy special Silver Anniversary-themed food and drinks. Among the selection are fanciful desserts, inspired craft cocktails and more. But that’s not all, as a selection of brand-new, family-friendly activities will be on offer, heading into special anniversary-themed nighttime onboard experiences.
25 years of ‘outstanding heritage’
Speaking of Disney Cruise Line’s Silver Anniversary, the company’s Senior Vice President and General Manager made a statement as follows:
For two and a half decades, Disney Cruise Line has developed an outstanding heritage of providing wonderful holiday memories for families worldwide Of course, our dedicated cast and crew members, who constantly give exceptional service and create enchantment at sea for our guests every day, are at the heart of our anniversary celebration.
We can’t wait for the summer of 2023 to celebrate our 25th anniversary with all of our young and old guests who have sailed with us before as Castaway Club members or will be sailing with us for the first time.
To celebrate Disney Cruise Line’s Silver Anniversary, Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse will wear special anniversary uniforms. In fact, they will be seen on select cruises dressed in the new celebratory attire. Meanwhile, Disney Cruise Line’s new trademark song will form part of the anniversary soundtrack in a number of ways.
Castaway Club
Disney Cruise Line will also celebrate the Silver Anniversary by offering a brand-new membership tier for Castaway Club. In celebration of 25 years of Disney magic at sea, members will be able to earn a new distinction. Known as Pearl status, members will receive this after 25 cruise vacations. This will unlock a number of new at-home and onboard benefits, to be announced early next year.
Silver Anniversary Cruises with Disney Cruise Line
Cruisers interested in celebrating Disney Cruise Line’s Silver Anniversary can do so from May to September 2023 as follows:
- Disney Magic will set sail between May 24 and September 4 from Miami, Florida, visiting ports in the Bahamas in the Caribbean. These will include Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
- Disney Wonder will head out on Alaskan cruises from May 15 to September 11, stopping over in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and more.
- Meanwhile, Disney Dreams will make transatlantic and European cruises from May 7 through September 17. Heading out from Port Canaveral, Florida, visits include the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Greek Islands.
- Disney Fantasy will set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida from May 6 to September 2, heading to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with a day at Castaway Cay.
- Moreover, Disney Wish, the cruise line’s newest ship, will sail from Port Canaveral to Nassau, the Bahamas and Castaway Cay from May 1 to September 8.
