It has been several years, but Norwegian Cruise Line is heading back to Baltimore and the Maryland Cruise Terminal. The popular cruise line is sending two of its ships, sailing on different itineraries from Baltimore, namely Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Sky.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Cruise Line is the third cruise line to offer sailings from Maryland Cruise Terminal. In fact, they will be joining Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International, with Carnival Legend and Vision of the Seas respectively. Read on to learn about the new itineraries sailing from Baltimore from September this year.

Norwegian Cruise Line returns to Baltimore with two ships

The original announcement was made in September 2022 that Norwegian Sky cruises would start on September 1, 2023. Furthermore, the cruise line’s Norwegian Sun will also sail from Baltimore, starting November 22, 2023.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s choice to deploy two cruise ships to Baltimore isn’t that surprising. The city’s port is centrally located for people in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas. Moreover, cities like Richmond and Philadelphia are within easy driving distance from the port. Meanwhile, Norwegian Cruise Line’s two ships will offer very different itineraries as follows.

New itineraries from Baltimore

Norwegian Sky – Fall Colors cruise

Norwegian Sky is set to take guests on 10 to 11-day itineraries to Canada and New England to enjoy the fall colors. The initial sailing from Baltimore is on September 1, with a ten-night Canada and New England cruise.

Meanwhile, the Fall Colors cruise will visit some beautiful locations, as follows:

Oak Bluffs, Boston, and Bar Harbor; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Saguenay, Quebec.

The cruise will conclude in Quebec City on September 11.

Norwegian Sun – Caribbean sailings

Appropriately with its name, Norwegian Sun will sail a very different itinerary from Baltimore. From November 22, the ship is set to sail 5 and 12-day cruises with the sun-kissed Caribbean locations including the Dominican Republic and Bermuda. The five-night sailing to Bermuda will stop over two days at King’s Wharf, and two days at sea.

On November 27, Norwegian Sun will sail from Baltimore to visit:

San Juan, Puerto Rico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Basseterre, St. Kitts; St. Johns, Antigua; St Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

before returning to Baltimore on December 9.

Carnival Cruise Line sailing from Baltimore

Along with Norwegian Cruise Line’s latest news, Carnival Cruise Line also sails from Baltimore. Carnival Legend offers a selection of cruises, including six-night cruises to Bermuda, seven and eight-day sailings to the Eastern Caribbean and a week-long cruise to the Bahamas. The ship has space for 2,100 passengers.

Meanwhile, a special 14-night cruise is coming in November, heading to the southern Caribbean. Moreover, January will sail on the Panama Canal on a 14-night special cruise. Meanwhile, in April 2024, Carnival Pride will replace Carnival Legend.

Royal Caribbean – Vision of the Seas

Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas offers a series of itineraries, including five-night sailings to Bermuda, a week-long cruise to Florida and the Bahamas, and extended, eight to 13-night sailings across the Caribbean. Meanwhile, the cruises include a stop of Perfect Day at CocoCay.
