Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming debut of NH Collection in the Balearic Islands of Spain with NH Collection Ibiza set to open in April. Sir Joan Hotel was recently acquired by AX Partners and will undergo a refurbishment in line with NH Collection’s premium standards prior to its reopening under the new brand in spring 2025.

Minor Hotels to Debut NH Collection Ibiza

As Sir Joan Hotel, the Ibiza Hotel received a comprehensive refurbishment in 2017. This current renovation will further enhance the quality of its facilities and its services. Upgrades include the gastronomic offering which will feature a new restaurant and cocktail options.

Moreover, the new five-star NH Collection Ibiza aims to become one of the benchmarks of premium tourism in Ibiza, now with the service and benefits of a great brand to provide unique and unforgettable experiences to its customers.

Meeting point for visitors to Ibiza

NH Collection Ibiza overlooks the port of Ibiza and the city’s Old Town, making it a meeting point for national and international visitors to the island of Ibiza.

Its privileged location, now combined with the management of Minor Hotels under the NH Collection brand, will position the hotel as a key asset in the premium segment of the Balearic Islands.

Second opening in 2025 for the NH Collection brand

Meanwhile, the launch of the hotel in Ibiza in April will be the brand’s second of the year. It was previously announced that NH Collections Alagna Mirtillo Rosso in Italy will open its doors in March 2025.

Nestling in the heart of the Pennine Alps in the village of Alagna Valsesia at the foot of Monte Rosa, this four-star hotel is ideal for skiing enthusiasts. Moreover, these properties will together help to strengthen the NH Collection brand portfolio, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with almost 100 hotels worldwide.
