As fans get into season 3 of the intriguing series, The White Lotus, interest builds in set-jetting the film set in Thailand. While the beautiful resorts are already a popular option for travelers, Intrepid wants to take fans a step further.

The company is offering fans a 15 percent discount to go beyond the show’s filming location. Moreover, there have already been signs that a tourism boom is about to hit Thailand, making it a good idea to visit the Asian nation now.

So far, fans have only watched episode 1 of season 3 of The White Lotus, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t excited to visit the beautiful locations featured in the show. Earlier this month, Anantara Thailand Resorts confirmed that three of their resorts were official filming locations for the show, inviting fans to stay.

Meanwhile, with the country’s idyllic beaches, clear turquoise waters and lavish resorts, it isn’t too surprising that Thailand is experiencing a surge in tourism. However, with the horrors of overtourism constantly hitting the travel headlines, this might not be the best thing for the country or for travelers seeking a more peaceful experience.

For this reason, Intrepid Travel wishes to encourage visitors to delve more deeply into the destination. With that in mind, the company has announced a special sale of up to 15 percent off select Thailand trips, created to take travelers “beyond the glossy portrayal” of the location. Moreover, they urge travelers to “uncover a richer, more authentic Thailand, one shaped by its people, culture and untold stories.”

Leigh Barnes, President of the Americas at Intrepid Travel said:

Thailand isn’t just another destination for us, it’s where Intrepid Travel was born. Our very first trip ran here in 1989 with just five travelers, and that same spirit of adventure still drives us today.

This is a chance to go beyond the resorts—to meet the people, taste the flavors, and see the country in a way that truly benefits local communities.
