10 MUST KNOW Tips for Coachella

1. Drink plenty of water. It’s not uncommon for dehydration to be a problem. Start your alcohol drinking after the sun goes down to save money and fend of that pesky dehydration.
2. Buy any and all merchandise and souvenirs you really want on Day 1. Items sell out quickly and the worst time to try and buy one is when the festival is winding down at night.
3. Set a unique and specific meetup location before you get inside. If you group gets split up in the masses, plan to have a designated place to regroup.
4. Don’t rely on cell phones. With throngs of fellow cell phone users in one location tweeting, texting, calling and overloading towers, it could be a problem. This is why those specified meetup locations are necessary.
5. Give yourself plenty of time to walk from stage to stage. If you really want to catch a show, make sure you head to the venue at least half an hour before they start.
6. Store your doctor-prescribed medication in its original container. Bags are searched and undercover cops are everywhere. If something is not it’s original and sealed bottle, you will have it taken away. And NO – medical marijuana is NOT allowed.
7. Some wristbands sell out insanely fast. You can find extra tickets at 3rd party sites like SeatGeek, but beware of ads on Craigslist.
8. Those desert nights can get chilly. Bring a coat or shawl to wrap up in if you get cold.
9. Bring baby wipes. Those portable toilets backing the sun during the day become less than pleasant. Bring baby wipes to clean the seat, clean your bum, and clean your hands.
10. A small flashlight might be lifesaver. If you get lost, you can blink it or just use it to find your way to your campsite.
