It is official. The Cayman Islands have officially dropped all travel restrictions. This means no testing is required, no registration is needed and there is no need to prove vaccinations. Under the new regulations anyone can now visit the islands, whether vaccinated or not. Meanwhile, there is no need to wear a mask, whether outdoors or inside.

Kenneth Bryan, Minister for Tourism and Transport for the Cayman Islands, made the official announcement. He said the new regulations are in keeping with the current global environment and he is in full support of, and welcomes, the removal of travel restrictions from August 24. Bryan added:

[This] is a great day in Cayman – and we thank every traveler, partner, and member of our community for ensuring our Government’s Phased Reopening Plan remains a success. At last, we can proudly say the Cayman Islands is open to all!

The good news comes as Grand Cayman is seeing more flight capacity to the destination. In fact, there are more flights than before the pandemic began in 2019. Meanwhile, the islands are also set for a huge boost in visitors in a few months. This comes with the launch of Cayman Airways’ first-ever flights from Los Angeles.

We are ready to open our doors to everyone who wishes to visit us and believe that the future of Cayman tourism is strong.
