Carnival Cruise Line Announces New Kids’ Programming On Carnival Jubilee
Carnival Cruise Line rolls out new kids’ programming on Carnival Jubilee
Its newest ship has Carnival Cruise Line rolling out plenty of new and fun activities for the whole family. Carnival Jubilee is set to sail from Galveston on its inaugural voyage next week and kids, tweens and teens on board will get to enjoy all the new activities. According to Carnival, the new kids’ programming ranges from virtual space exploration to good old Dr. Seuss story time.
Kids and multigenerational families sailing on Carnival Jubilee are set to enjoy a new level of fun with all new experiences tailored to every age group. We’re welcoming new characters, creating new spaces and telling new stories so everyone in the family can make the most of their cruise vacation.
What can families expect?
Meanwhile, the littlest ones haven’t been forgotten, as they will get to enjoy a new space-themed toddler playground dubbed Planet Play at Sea. Inspired by the immersive Planet Play experience at Kennedy Space Center, the playground will be installed sometime after the ship debuts.
On a totally different theme, Carnival is also unveiling new Dr. Seuss-themed activities onboard Carnival Jubilee. From early January 2024, Thing 1 and Thing 2 will throw a birthday party-themed breakfast for the kids. Meanwhile, the breakfast will feature new menu items, music and activities.
Moreover, in mid-February, Fox in Socks will join the Seuss-a-Palooza Parade on Carnival Jubilee. As part of this, the Story Time will feature the kids’ favorite Seuss book “Green Eggs & Ham.” However, there’s no mention of whether the kids’ breakfast eggs will be dyed a beautiful shade of green!
See the World on Carnival Jubilee
For passengers between the ages of 12 and 17, Carnival plans to expand its popular teen program, See the World on Carnival Jubilee. Tweens and teens will be able to participate in new, educational and cultural experiences. Among these will be jewelry making and a flower parade during the Panagbenga Festival.
The new program is inspired by the annual holiday held in the Philippines each February. Moreover, the cruise line developed the new offerings with help from Filipino crew members for authenticity.
New kid-friendly activities
Among the new kid-friendly features on the new ship, the Currents Zone will let the kids design their own sea creature, and then watch it come to life on LED screens on the walls and the ceiling.
Moreover, to protect the little ones, Carnival has installed enhanced facial recognition technology in the youth area. The system helps ensure that the kids only leave the area with authorized adults.
As if all this wasn’t enough, Carnival is also launching the Night Owls Camp Out. This new program will run in the evenings and is designed to feel like an outdoor summer camp. Among the fun activities are typical summer camp fun, including fort building, horseshoes, cornhole, obstacle courses, and, of course, singing songs around a campfire.
