Turkish Airlines New Direct Flights Take Off From This US City To Istanbul

It isn’t always easy to fly from the US to Turkey, but Turkish Airlines has launched a new direct route between Detroit and Istanbul. Starting on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the new route will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Meanwhile, even though Istanbul is a major hub for exploring Turkey, many travelers only take a short layover in the city before heading to their final destination. However, Turkish Airlines is encouraging travelers to plan a longer stopover in the city.

The program is dubbed Stopover in Istanbul and passengers with layovers of at least 20 hours will be able to stay for free in certain partner hotels. This gives travelers the chance to explore a little in Istanbul before continuing their journey. It is also likely that the city will catch your heart and you will plan a longer stay in the future.
