AmaWaterways Drops Single Supplements For Solo Sailors On Certain Cruises
AmaWaterways drops single supplements on selected cruises for solo sailors
Solo sailors can save money on their next European river cruise with AmaWaterways after it was announced that select 2024 European cruises will not charge single supplements. In a press release, Andrea Stafford, sales director for AmaWaterways said:
River cruises offer an intimate welcoming environment, ideally suited to sociable single guests who want to travel through Europe in style. With no single supplements, these sailings are ideal for agents to sell to their solo clients.
The only possible drawback is that the cruises for 2024 must be booked by March 31, 2024. However, the offer will be available on a choice of 39 European departures this year.
To which river cruises does the offer apply?
While time is short, and booking needs to be made by March 31, 2024 (Easter Sunday), the offer will see a generous reduction in fares by more than $1,908 (£1,500) on some itineraries.
As an example, the 7-night Melodies of the Danube cruise from Budapest to Vilshofen, sailing on August 7, 2024, on AmaSonata was priced from $5,951 (£4,678) based on solo occupancy in a category E stateroom. However, with the offer of a single supplement waiver, the same stateroom now costs from $4,016 (£3,157) per solo traveler.
Moreover, AmaWaterways also offers a limited number of specially designed single occupancy staterooms with French balconies on several ships, all of which also enjoy a supplement-free cruise.
What is included in the AmaWaterways solo offer?
Moreover, with the special single supplement waiver, a choice of small group excursions will also be available to solo sailors.
