Holland America is well known as a leader in Alaska and Pacific Northwest cruises. However, now the cruise line will offer a rarely cruised route on its 7-day, Great Bear Rainforest itinerary, which hasn’t been available for decades.

Guests will sail roundtrip from Seattle on the Noordam, with two departures – October 5, 2025, and April 19, 2026. Meanwhile, this itinerary will take guests on a uniquely immersive and intimate exploration of the Pacific Northwest.

Moreover, Noordam will navigate the historic Inside Passage, taking guests through breathtaking fjords and pristine waters. Guests will also enjoy wildlife sightings at the ship sails. This cruise will see stops in Ketchikan, Alaska, and Prince Rupert, Nanaimo and Victoria in British Columbia, where guests will visit vibrant communities among beautiful scenery.

In the press release, Paul Grigsby, Vice President of Deployment and Revenue Planning for Holland America Line said:

This in-depth exploration of the PNW takes guests through the historic Inside Passage, sailing through some of the most confined waters our ships have ever sailed. This is the true Inside Passage, the storied route between Seattle and Alaska that ships have been sailing since as far back as the gold rush era. It is a first for our company to plan a sailing focused on this fjord-like waterway that maximizes a daylight transit to allow best opportunities for wildlife sightings.

Meanwhile, in addition, Holland America Line is to launch ten more itineraries along the Pacific Coast, revealing the region’s beautiful scenery and exciting cities. The cruises range from one day to multiple weeks and will offer options for roundtrip voyages from San Diego, Seattle or Vancouver, Canada. These voyages stop at popular ports like Santa Barbara and San Francisco in California, Ensenada in Mexico and Astoria, Oregon.

Moreover, the 2025-26 season will offer a total of 15 Collectors’ Voyages from 14 to 29 days in length. Each will combine back-to-back, non-repeating itineraries, allowing passengers to experience the Pacific Coast, Mexico and Hawaii in one voyage.
