Oceania Cruises has announced three brand-new itineraries for 2024-2025 on board the Riviera. Meanwhile, one of the world’s leading culinary and destination-focused cruise lines has revealed fabulous new journeys, exploring Africa and Asia from the end of this year. Among them is a 59-day, once-in-a-lifetime Grand Voyage, visiting some of the most off-the-beaten-path ports across each continent. Oceania Cruises announces three brand-new itineraries

Those travelers who enjoy traveling off the beaten path are likely to be excited at the news recently released by Oceania Cruises. The cruise line has announced three brand-new itineraries aboard its 1,250-guest cruise ship Riviera, exploring Africa and Asia from the end of 2024 and into 2025.

Probably the most exciting of these new offerings is the 59-day Grand Voyage, set to take guests on a journey to explore truly off-the-beaten-path ports across Africa and Asia. The ship will sail from Barcelona and will stop at the Canary Islands before heading down Africa’s western coast. Along the way, guests will enjoy stops at exciting ports in Senegal, Gambia and Ghana. From there, guests will enjoy an overnight stay in Walvis Bay in Namibia.

Once at Africa’s most southern point, guests will experience an overnight stay in Cape Town before their journey continues. The Riviera will then take its guests up to Madagascar’s eastern coast before making an overnight stop in Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. Meanwhile, the cruise will head to the lush and exotic Seychelles, Maldives, Thailand, and Malaysia, before the journey makes an overnight stay in Singapore.

While announcing the news, Frank A Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises said in a statement:

These longer, destination-immersive voyages offer curious, well-traveled guests the chance to explore some of the most off-the-beaten-path ports in the world, all from the elegant surroundings of Riviera. Sailing from Europe to Asia, via both coasts of Africa, is a true bucket list journey, combining iconic cities and unknown gems, with our incredible onboard service and the best value in luxury cruising, these voyages are hard to resist.

Riviera offers the largest and most luxurious standard staterooms at sea while exploring some of the most iconic African ports, including Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Walvis Bay and Dar Es Salaam. Moreover, the ship will take guests to Asia and ports of call in Phuket, Penang, Colombo and Malé.

Besides the 59-day itinerary, 27-day cruises will travel from Europe across Africa and Asia. Along the way, the Riviera will stop at niche ports like Antsiranana in Madagascar, Hambantota in Sri Lanka, Sao Tome and Lome in Togo. While ashore, guests will get the opportunity to explore the local cultures and natural wonders of these iconic destinations with a selection of 400 shore excursions to choose from.

Onboard dining on the Riviera

The Riviera offers its guests seven open-seating gourmet restaurants to choose from along with a selection of international and continental dishes in the Grand Dining Room. Guests can also enjoy a steakhouse experience at the Polo Grill, delicious Italian dishes at Toscana and Pan-Asian cuisine at Red Ginger. Moreover, Jacques offers exceptional French cuisine, while the Chef’s Market Dinners at the Terrace Café will always be fresh, as well as handmade pizzas served in the alfresco pizzeria at Waves Grill.
