Meanwhile, Upgraded Points has revealed some of the best places to travel solo in the world. Each was ranked on safety, accommodation, transportation, food and activities, and each of these cities received a score out of 50. Of the top 20 revealed by the study, the following are the top 5 US destinations for those traveling alone.

1. Miami, Florida for solo travel

Coming in at number one, Miami has proven to be the top city to solo travel in the US after scoring 41.63. This is due to the Floridian city’s diverse cultures and neighborhoods as well as its many activities to choose from. With so much diversity, this is the ideal place for those traveling alone.

When it comes to walkability, the ocean-front city scored 77/100, as it is very easy for travelers to navigate and explore. It has a low crime rate, meaning it is safe to walk around at night, while still being vigilant along the way. Whether taking a stroll on the beach or heading through the neighborhoods looking for great dining, the city is definitely a winner.

Speaking of dining, Miami offers a myriad of options to choose from including fresh seafood platters and Cuban delights. Meanwhile, the city has around 73 food trucks and eight food halls to choose from, making it comfortable to dine alone.

2. Travel solo to Orlando, Florida

Staying in the Sunshine State, Orlando comes up as number two on the list and is great to tour alone. In fact, Orlando offers the highest number of tours available at 195. These include exploring the city, heading into the Everglades, or enjoying water sports. This city truly does have something for every traveler.

Moreover, the city gets a top 100 for its public transit, perfect for exploring the historic city. Here, solo travelers can hop on and off the buses, trains, and even boats to see the capital of the USA. When it comes to activities, there are plenty of museums to explore, many of which are free to enter.

4. San Francisco, California

Solo travelers looking for warm and sunny weather with an exciting city vibe can find it all in San Francisco. What’s more, the city was awarded the highest walkability score in the USA. Besides walking, explore the city on public transport, heading from neighborhood to neighborhood looking for delicious dining or an entertaining vibe.
