SeaWorld Orlando Announces Opening Date For New Penguin Roller Coaster

As the summer solstice arrives, summer is already starting and SeaWorld Orlando has revealed the opening date of the new, exciting Penguin Roller Coaster, opening on July 7. Penguin Trek will be located in the Antarctica portion of SeaWorld and has been designed as a family ride. The new roller coaster offers a unique blend of roller coaster thrills and wilderness adventure. Meanwhile, the snowmobile-style cars will reach speeds of up to 43 miles per hour.

One of the coolest aspects of the ride is that the wait in line is air-conditioned, perfect to keep cool on a hot Florida summer day. Moreover, it is appropriate when virtually visiting Antarctica.

SeaWorld and Aquatica Orlando offer Fourth of July summer ticket sale

In other good news, SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando celebrate summer with a Fourth of July sale. This includes savings of up to 55 percent off Fun Cards, tickets and annual passes.

Both parks open their summer sale now and through June 23 and what’s more, other new attractions and experiences are coming at both parks besides Penguin Trek.

SeaWorld is opening new attractions including Antarctica Realm, Shamu & Crew Parade, a sea lion presentation, Rescue Tails theater production and the new show Xceleration.

Antarctica Realm

Besides the exciting Penguin Trek family coaster, the Antarctica Realm will also offer a selection of activities for all ages. Moreover, this includes the reopening of Expedition Café, which offers guests close-up views of the cutest penguins.

Shamu & Crew Parade

Meanwhile, the new Shamu & Crew Parade is set to feature iconic characters along with the park’s ocean crew.

Xceleration

Similar to the Cirque du Soleil, Xceleration will offer families the chance to watch a thrilling stunt show featuring stunt performers and BMX bikes.

Rescue Tails

Moreover, the aquatic park will introduce Rescue Tails, a theatrical performance that educates guests on the importance of conservation through heartwarming animal rescue stories. There will also be a new sea lion presentation, Flippers Facts and Fun.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist

At Aquatica Orlando, Tassie’s Underwater Twist is a new waterslide that will transport visitors to Australia’s Shark Bay. There they will twist their way through a digital underwater world, filled with sea turtles, manta rays, humpback whales, sharks and more.
