60 Thompson Hotel SoHo, NYC

The 60 Thompson Hotel is in the heart of Manhattan located at 60 Thompson Street, New York City. Generally when my daughter and I travel to New York City we stay at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo but my daughter wanted a change and we decided to try the 60 Thompson. She had heard many good things about the hotel.

The hotel location is ideal as long as you want to be away from mid-town and the hotel is comfortable. If I have one complaint it is the WiFi is not free. Paying for WiFi in a hotel is so unusual these days and not only did you have to pay for it, it was expensive.

The hotel has a great check in staff, they are very professional and always ready to help. The lobby/sitting area of the hotel is sorely in need of a refurbishment and not overly comfortable.

We visited the hotel in early March and paid approx $300 a night.

Would we go back? Probably not, I far prefer the location of the Mercer, the hotel and the atmosphere.
