Is Disney Just for Kids?

While many people think of Disney World and automatically think of their childhood, families and Mickey Mouse, this is not all this park has to offer. While those things are all part of the experience – they are just one part. There is more than one way to enjoy Disney.

Even though quite a bit of Disney World’s marketing efforts are towards families with younger children, it is also a great place for adults. Some of the other groups of people who can have a blast at Disney can be found here.

Even though Disney is clearly designed to attract kids, the designers didn’t forget about the adults. In fact, food lovers are going to enjoy the wide array of dining options that the various parks can offer.

Epcot offers several treats from all around the world, each one being authentic to its home country. You can indulge at the fine dining experience offered by Victoria & Alberts, which is located at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or take it easy by enjoying music and food at the Blues Café in Disney Springs.

The daytime hours at Disney World are often hot, chaotic and stressful. However, after your kids are ready for bed, you can still return to the park to roam around on your own.

You can visit the Disney BoardWalk to begin the night by enjoying dueling pianos at Jellyrolls or visit the Atlantic Dance Hall to find all your favorites from the 1980s and 1990s. You can also find a fireworks display at the BoardWalk while enjoying a bottle of fine wine.

Enjoy a Spa Getaway

If you are traveling in a group, then make sure to have someone else watch your kids while you enjoy a bit of fun for yourself. You can visit the spa and have a relaxing massage or revitalizing facial. There are several premium spa packages for you to choose from based on what you want and need.

The fact is, Walt Disney World offers something for everyone. If you are planning a trip with adults-only, make sure you research all the options that are available for you. The fact is, you can have a great time at Disney, with or without children.

    I would actually say it’s more for adults than kids – especially the real little ones. We go every year and it’s definitely different without kids.

    Everyone in our family absolutely LOVES Disney. It is not just for kids. They have so much that’s geared towards adults! We love to do a bit of both when we go.

    This is a great post and givibg Disney a different face. I have had some of the greatest meals at Disney so definitely meals adults can love.

    The entire family enjoys Disney. If it was confined to kids, I’d change my birth certificate. I hope to go back and visit Epcot next year and talk some of the family that hasn’t been there yet into going with me. The Blues Cafe sounds like a good stop to add to the experience.

    I hear people say that and always chuckle. Disney is for people of all ages! My Mom is in her 70s and goes several times a year by herself.

    It’s definitely not just for the kids! It’s for everyone who loves Disney and some who don’t but would still like to check it out. There’s no age limit when it comes to something that’s part of everyone’s childhood.

    It’s one of the best places to go to and it’s definitely not just for the kids! Anyone can have tons of fun at Disney and that’s what I love about it.

    Clearly a foodie’s paradise! It’s one of the places that I really enjoy going to because the food is not only adorable but good as well! Disney is not just a place for the kids to have fun but for the adults to enjoy as well!

    Disney is not just for kids. There are other activities that cater to adults. The Spa Getaway is a good one to enjoy. After a whole day of running around chasing the kids, your body needs some rest, relaxation and pampering.
