5 Things To Know Before You Cruise To The Bahamas In 2019

5 Things To Know Before You Cruise To The Bahamas In 2019There are so many different reasons why the Bahamas continues to be one of the premiere vacation destinations for visitors from North America and Europe year after year. Luckily, it’s now easier than ever before to visit the stunning Caribbean island nation, thanks to the two-day and four-day packages from from Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line.

Sailing from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahamas Island, there are two ships to choose from: The Grand Celebration and the Grand Classica. Both offer numerous amenities along with an adult-only area, a revitalized casino, and specialty coffee and juice bar along with a number of different restaurants, off-shore excursion packages and more. Here are just a few things you need to know before booking your cruise to Grand Bahama Island in 2019.

All-Day Entertainment

If there is one thing that you won’t be on board the ship, it’s boring. That’s because there are several all-day entertainment options on both the Grand Celebration and Grand Classica ships. You can get things started by moving to the beat of the sail away shows and parties (complete with special onboard drinks) or dance the night away to the sound of the island music. You can also mingle with friends or make new ones by lounging poolside near one of the two pools – one near the Sun Deck or in the hot tub on the other side of the ship. What’s more, you can also try your luck at one of the casinos if you are feeling particularly lucky or laugh the night away at their Comedy Show.

In addition, there’s also an interactive kid’s program that is designed to help entertain your children, regardless of what age they are. There’s a supervised children’s program that allows parents to drop off their kids in the evening if they are looking to spend a little time to themselves. There’s also a Club Chill for the tween crowd and a Club Vibe full of arcade and interactive games for older teens. Check out the 6-foot basketball shooting contest while you are there, too.

Delicious Dining

The Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line lets you dig in with some incredible onsite restaurants that offers everything you would expect from a gourmet meal. The Admiral’s Streak and Seafood restaurant is a top-notch option with plenty of culinary delights on its menu. You can order a delicacy from the sea or a steak and pair it with a fine wine. If you are looking for an interactive dining experience, check out The Rock Grill. The restaurant offers tableside grilling, where guests can cook their own meats and veggies. Located on Deck 10, you get to enjoy delectable bites with great ocean views. The service at both restaurants is also above par.

Swim With The Pigs

While there is plenty to do on the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line ship, you don’t want to miss out on some incredible opportunities to explore Grand Bahama Island with several different offshore excursion packages and tours. Have you ever thought about swimming with the adorable and famous pigs that have recently been made famous thanks to social media? Well, luckily you don’t have to travel to the Exuma Cays for this one-of-a-kind experience anymore, as you can now swim with wild pigs from Grand Bahama Island. Get to see them piggy-paddle out to the turquoise waters with their snouts upturned and ready for food and snacks. You’ll also be making your social media followers envious of this bucket list experience, too.

Visit Port Lucaya

Port Lucaya is a great tourist attraction thanks to the endless shopping and dining options. Here, you can find the International Bazar, which is a mall that represents cultures from all over the world. If you are looking to bring home something that has a little more of the local flavor, check out the Straw Market, which focuses more on local arts and crafts.

Also, the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line allows for several different cruises and stay options. One of them includes an additional two nights at the family-friendly Grand Lucayan at Lighthouse Pointe. It’s situated near the Port Lucaya Marketplace and sits on a gorgeous stretch of white-sand beach that you won’t find anywhere else.

Shop And Indulge

It wouldn’t feel like a cruise unless you step off the boat feeling refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated, right? The Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line lets you treat yourself, so to speak, at their Indulgence Spa. Guests have an opportunity to check out some of the many massage and treatment packages or can go for a full makeover at their salon. If that weren’t enough, you can also shop until you drop or buy gifts for your loved ones at one of the ship’s retail and duty-free stores.
