Disneyland And Disney World Are Both Safe From The Coronavirus

The coronavirus fear is quickly spreading to the United States. Disneyland Tokyo and Tokyo DisneySea closed a few weeks ago. Currently, all three Disney resorts in Asia are temporarily shut.

If you’re planning to visit the Disneyland Resort in California or the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, there is no need to worry. You don’t even have to worry about your upcoming Disney Cruise. Disney Parks and Disney Cruise in the U.S. are still safe from the coronavirus.

Disneyland And Walt Disney World Are Safe

As per Inside the Magic, there is an intense vetting process for guests arriving to the U.S., especially those affected by the coronavirus. That means Disneyland and Walt Disney World are safe. According to the unofficial Disney blog, “As of the morning of February 28, 2020, there have been no coronavirus cases reported in the State of Florida.” Florida is also prepared for the threat of the virus. Meanwhile, California cracked down and declared itself a state of emergency.

However, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have not made respective statements on their official websites regarding coronavirus. If they do, you will be the first to know. But for now, both parks remain open and are operating as usual. Disney Parks has no plan to change their operations in the U.S. because of the global concern over the coronavirus. You shouldn’t consider changing your travel plans as of yet.

You Should Take Precautions By Washing Your Hands And Staying Hydrated

If you plan on visiting either of the parks, you should take precautions by washing your hands and staying hydrated. Be honest with your doctor about your recent trips. Please cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing. Stay home if you do not feel well, especially if you have flu-like symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath.

While the thought of a possible pandemic is scary, it’s still possible to enjoy your Disney vacation. The Disney Cruise Line has also implemented some of its own procedures. In addition, California and Florida have closely monitored their air and seaports. The Disney Cruise ports of call such as the Bahamas are stricter than others. The coronavirus is a developing story that changes nearly every hour, so you will receive updates if anything changes.
