Travel news reveals that there are signs and signals that Disney Minnie Vans are making a comeback to Walt Disney World. Since 2017 the vans, connected by Lyft, were a fun and popular way to get around Walt Disney World. Disney halted services due to the shutdown forced by the coronavirus pandemic. Is all that about to change?
Are Minnie Vans Returning to Walt Disney World?
When it was still in use the service was available to take Guests anywhere they desired around Disney World, or to and from MCO. Disney has now issued an exciting update about the service in regard to its use by Guests coming and going from the airport. It reads in part: “Minnie Van service is temporarily unavailable at Walt Disney World Resort. Please note that Minnie Van service to and from Orlando International Airport will not be available for bookings until further notice, including as either a package add-on or standalone option. We are working with guests with existing Minnie Van bookings to arrange alternate transportation during their stay.”
Will Minnie Vans Make a Comeback at Walt Disney World?
It’s being reported that some Guests visiting the parks have divulged that Disney has moved the pick-up and drop-off locations for Minnie vans, rideshare, and taxis to the furthest bus loop. Disney has not issued an official announcement on a return of service but the new signage has insiders expecting an announcement at any time.

Minnie Vans are super cute red vehicles with white polka-dots. They are a personal ride service and in the past Guests used their smartphone to get a ride.
Is Walt Disney World Reintroducing Minnie Vans?
The Disney World website breaks down how the service works: “Our Minnie Van service works with the Lyft app. Simply open the Lyft app from anywhere within Walt Disney World Resort to access Minnie Van service, request a ride and pay for it through the app—or call (407) 828-3500 to request an accessible vehicle. Cars are usually minutes away.”
The site also provides a description of what a Minnie ride entails: “Minnie Van vehicles are roomy, comfortable and playfully themed with a style inspired by Minnie Mouse. Each vehicle accommodates up to 6 Guests. Minnie Van drivers are friendly Disney Cast Members who are trained to whisk you off to where you need to be—with a smile. Each vehicle is equipped with 2 child safety seats that our Disney Cast Members are expertly trained to install for you.”
