Anyone flying Alaska Airlines in the spring of 2024 can look forward to a real treat. The airline has revealed its fresh, chef-curated in-flight menu that captures the airline’s West Coast flair. Meanwhile, the menu will offer cuisine influenced by Asian and Latin American tastes.

New menu options on Alaska Airlines for first-class travelers

While Alaska Airlines has revealed delicious options for its new, in-flight menu and the options differ for First Class passengers, Premium Class and Main Cabin passengers. For example, those in First Class can choose from international dishes such as Birria Beef and Ube Island Pancakes.

For those in Premium Class and Main Cabin, delicious fresh salads are available, including the Caul Me Maybe – a Mediterranean-inspired dish created through the airline’s partnership with Seattle-based Evergreens.

The new Alaska Airlines menu is currently available and is complimentary in First Class on most fights traveling 670 miles and more. Meanwhile, Main Cabin passengers can purchase the meals on most flights 775 miles or more.

Alaska Airlines Managing Director, Todd Traynor-Corey said in the press release:

As always, the inspiration for creating our menu is based on our guests’ feedback and that’s exactly what we did when developing our spring offerings.

“This is a just a precursor to an exciting year ahead,” Traynor-Corey added, saying:

We can’t wait to share what’s to come on our premium food and beverage line-up.

Other dishes on the new Alaska Airlines menu

To get an idea of the other menu items served in the spring of 2024, West Coast items include smoked BBQ beef burnt ends with kimchi fried rice. Others include authentic Thai green Curry, Evergreens Change of Greenery Salad and French-toast style thick banana bread.

Meanwhile, the new Alaska Airlines menu also featured its first exclusively brewed craft beer in a unique can. Known as the “Cloud Cruiser” the craft beer is brewed by the Seattle-based company Fremont Brewery. To make it even better, the beer is made with local ingredients.

The airline’s website reveals more details about the new menu items as follows:

BBQ Beef & Kimchi Rice – Smoked BBQ beef burnt ends, served on kimchi fried rice and topped with fresh green onions.

Birria Beef – Tender braised, boneless beef in consommé, marinated black beans and long grain rice, rich in cumin, tomato, and lime flavors. Topped with a fresh pico de gallo salsa.

Thai Curry (Vegan/Gluten Free) – Authentic Thai green curry with coconut milk, ginger, garlic, lemongrass and kaffir lime; with coconut shoots, green papaya, Thai basil, and red chili with vegan meatballs made from heart of palm. Served over steamed Jasmine rice.

Tortellini (to Hawaii Only) – Four-cheese tortellini pasta enrobed in a tangy miso sauce, served with roasted butternut squash, edamame, and fresh arugula.

Banana Bread French Toast – French-toast style thick banana bread with a tamarind caramel sauce.  Served with creamy scrambled eggs, and pecan candied pork bacon.

Island Pancakes (to Hawaii only) – Ube (purple sweet potato) pancakes with toasted shaved coconut, roasted pineapple, and grilled pork Portuguese sausage. Topped with guava & mint syrup.
