Coming up tops in the study, Paris, France is considered the best city to explore local culture, boasting a perfect composite score of 50 out of 50. France’s capital boasts 52 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a number only surpassed by Rome and Venice.

Meanwhile, the City of Light offers visitors 650 museums and art galleries to explore and 12 major cultural festivals and events in which to participate. Moreover, with its range of cultural entertainment, Paris is the premier destination for culture lovers.

2. Rome, Italy

In second place, Rome in Italy earned a composite score of 49.2. The historic city boasts 58 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
