Travel By Train From London To Amsterdam This Winter With Eurostar
Travel with Eurostar from London to Amsterdam
Since the pandemic, train travel has gradually become one of the most popular ways to explore the world. With luxurious sleeper trains, high-speed options and more, travelers’ choices continue to grow.
Eurostar has announced the latest in direct train routes, this time between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and London. This new option will make it easier than ever to travel between the Netherlands and the UK.
Meanwhile, when the new route launches it will have a capacity of 450 passengers, meaning it won’t be overcrowded. However, in the spring of 2025, that capacity will increase to 650 passengers.
Environmentally friendly train travel
So far, the cost of the journey has yet to be announced. However, checking out a return standard class rail ticket from London St. Pancras to Amsterdam Central Station in early March quotes the cheapest option at $203 per person.
What are London and Amsterdam like in the winter?
However, it isn’t just the cost that makes winter travel to both London and Amsterdam a great idea. While the days are shorter and the skies often gray, this is the ideal time to explore art galleries and museums in both cities.
Other benefits of train travel
Meanwhile, for convenience, both the London St. Pancras and the Amsterdam Central stations are centrally located. This is much better than having to hurry to the airport during rush hour and checking in hours ahead of the flight.
