Disney Reveals First Sneak Peek Of The Interior Of The Star Wars Hotel
Star Wars fans are no doubt looking forward to news of the Star Wars-themed hotel at Walt Disney World Resort and can now see teaser images.
Fans of the Star Wars franchise are looking forward to the chance to stay at the new Star Wars-themed hotel in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Naturally, the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed matters and the hotel is only set to open at some time in 2021. However, Disney has now released the first images of the interior of the much-anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.
Star Wars hotel in Walt Disney World Resort
The new Star Wars-themed hotel is only set to land in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida at some time during 2021. However, Disney has now released the first images of the interior of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, as the hotel is named.
This hotel is set to offer an out-of-this-world experience in Walt Disney World Resort. CNN and NBC have both compared a stay here to being a cruise. However, instead of cruising out to sea, guests will, instead, head into “outer space.”
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, released the images in a Disney blog post. In the post she wrote, “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience.”
“You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser… and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story.”
Immersive Star Wars experience
The hotel is a star liner – a Corellian MPO-1400 called the Halcyon. The liner will have themed cabins and a variety of onboard dining options. The hotel’s crew members will be dressed in character to enhance the Star Wars mood.
Guests will get to check in for an immersive Star Wars experience for two days and two nights. Once onboard, they will be able to choose their own adventure. However, all journeys begin in the same way, with guests checking in at the main terminal before heading to the Launch Pod to be shuttled into “space.”
The newly released images show an illustrated mock-up of an interior starship cabin. Guests will have a comfortable queen-size bed, while two bunk beds are built into the wall for the kids. It is unknown whether all rooms will have the same interior look, but they will likely be similar.

Explore the Star Wars universe
Guests will be offered the opportunity to explore the Star Wars Universe. They will participate in land excursions to Black Spire Outpost in remote Batuu. Fans will also enjoy a trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Probably best of all, guests will spent a lot of their time role playing with the various characters, along with the crew and their fellow passengers, all in costume.
While Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is scheduled to open at some time in 2021, Disney has yet to open reservations. Bookmark their website to get updates to ensure you are ready to have your own Star Wars Adventure.
