The 18-year-old Argo Wilis is an executive class train that belongs to Operational Regional (Daop) II in Bandung. The train connects Bandung and Surabaya through Bandung Station Hall and Gubeng Station. Meanwhile, it travels some 699 kilometers (434 miles) at an average speed of 70-100 kilometers (43-62 miles) per hour. The journey takes 11 hours 50 minutes to reach Surabaya from Bandung and vice versa.

Along the journey, the train makes only nine stops at transit stations, namely:

  • Cipeundeuy Station
  • Tasikmalaya Station
  • Banjar Station
  • Kroya Station
  • Kutoarjo Station
  • Yogyakarta Station
  • Solo Balapan Station
  • Madiun Station
  • Jombang Station.

Moreover, the Argo Wilis train runs once per day and carries between 350 and 450 passengers on each trip. The train leaves Bandung Station at 8:30 am and from Gubeng Station in Surabaya at 7 am.
