RoarFun Launches Simulators To Transform US Tourism Experiences
RoarFun launches ROF simulators to turn state history and landscapes into immersive flights for the US 250th anniversary.

The travel world just got a lot more fun thanks to RoarFun, even if you can’t afford the flight to a nice destination stateside. The news arrived this week, that they launched ROF™. Notably, it’s a new immersive platform built to help US states show off their history and landscapes through advanced simulators. Read on to find out more.
A Big Boost For Tourism
According to a press release on PR Newswire, the company designed the platform for states to “stand out at major national events.”
CEO Victor Goldobin came up with the idea after he visited the “SelectUSA Investment Summit.” There he noticed that various states competed in the aged-old way with basic posters and videos.
So, he decided that it might be better for folks to virtually experience a destination. Look, you can’t argue against it being a fun idea and it definitely fits with the RoarFun trade brand.
Remember the days of early movies where you could buy special glasses to see in 3D? Well, the new ROF platform is way beyond that tech. The platform uses compact flight simulators that fit into a relatively small space for trade and travel shows.

In fact, those tourism boards who get their hands on them can easily set them up at events like the Great American State Fair. Absolutely fun, it turns “geography into interactive storytelling and motion.”
The Pilot Was A Success
RoarFun chose West Virginia as their first pilot to see just how realistic the tech could make the experience. Those who tried it out got a lot more than hoped for. Instead of just looking at attractive mountain scenery, they could “pilot” a Bell X-1 named “Glamorous Glennis.”
Would you enjoy breaking the sound barrier? Even if it’s just pretend?
The press release noted that the company used “real terrain data” to build a driving simulation through the state’s hills. As a result, potential travel clients experienced a “visceral, emotional experience that drives curiosity and travel intent.”
Fun For All Ages
Additionally, the system handled “custom liveries, branded billboards, and visual elements directly into the environment.”
While it sounds like a game, it should attract more than folks who love the fun of gaming. That’s because the creators make it possible for people of all ages to just jump in and get a real feel for flying. That’s possible through the use of “intuitive controls.”
Notably, folks with less than top-notch mobility can enjoy it as well. Along with the supporting hardware, there are adaptations to “accommodate diverse physical needs.”

A Huge Roll-Out
Because RoarFun has “operational warehouses on both coasts,” they shipped the units all over the place. For instance, you’ll find them in places like Hawaii or even at US embassies abroad.
