Review: Five Points Restaurant NYC – A Yummy Brunch!

On April 8th, 2013 myself and a friend went to Five Points Restaurant in NYC for brunch.  The restaurant is located at 31 Great Jones St  in NYC.   We were staying on 48th avenue and decided to take the subway to the restaurant.   Unfortunately, the subway was having problems and we were running a bit late.  We left the subway to catch a cab and called the restaurant who assured us they would hold our reservation.

The restaurant is very pretty with a row of flowers running down the middle of the dining room which has a nice cozy feeling.   We started our meal with a Mimosa for myself and a Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene for my friend.  The Mimosa was excellent and obviously these use a good quality champagne.

I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ($14) with Maple Syrup and all I can say is yum!  They were delicious, the contrast of the sweet from the ricotta and the hint of lemon were perfect.  The pancakes are not to be missed.

My friend ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict which is comprised of two (2) country biscuit, sautéed spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.  Her meal was cooked perfectly and the portion was very generous.  Well worth the $16.
