New Day to Save

According to the company’s research, Travel Deal Tuesday has become yet another day to save money and score deep discounts in addition to Thanksgiving night, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. For the past 2 years Hopper has noted fare sales just after the biggest shopping days of the year. “The airlines offer major discounts because travel demand tends to die down following Thanksgiving. Most travelers have already booked their holiday airfare, but haven’t started planning their winter getaways yet,” the company’s release stated.

Projected Deals

Predictions for sales include average deal prices from U.S. cities to 45 international destinations. According to their predictions you’ll see offers like domestic deals from Chicago from $166 round-trip, Nashville from $217, Seattle from $233, and Honolulu from $589. Don’t forget international deals. Price points start at $529 to Beijing, China; $594 to London; $736 to Tokyo; and $341 to Mexico City.

Tips

Of course, the statement also gives tips on how to score these Travel Deal Tuesday deals. The press release suggests using the Hopper app and putting it’s “Flex Watch” feature to good use. Deals will reportedly pop in and out throughout the day. “When you set a Flex Watch, you can list cities or regions you’re interested in and Hopper will monitor deals 24/7 and alert you when there’s a breaking fare sale,” the company promises. The format is somewhat similar to Tinder, which allows users to swipe left or right to find travel deals that fit your needs.
