Meanwhile, the top 20 includes popular cities from each region of the US, with the Midwest, Northeast, South and West Coast represented.
However, it seems Eastern Massachusetts stands out when it comes to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The ratings place Boston at No. 1 and nearby Worcester at No. 7. Moreover, Boston ranks No. 1 in the all-important St. Paddy’s Day traditions category. The city also hosts the fourth-most Irish pubs and restaurants per capita. Meanwhile, Worcester hosts the nation’s third-highest percentage of Irish population, and fourth-lowest average beer price in March 2024.
However, Chicago ranks at No. 2 beating Boston when it comes to costs (54th) and safety and accessibility (48th). However, when looking at the weather on St. Patrick’s Day this year, they had a low ranking of 194th.
When it comes to weather and St. Paddy’s Day traditions, Tampa (ninth) and Fort Lauderdale (fifteenth) in Florida rank well.
