A website dubbed European Best Destinations, dedicated exclusively to travel in Europe, has revealed the top 20 destinations to help visitors make their choices.

European Best Destinations for 2024

Every year, European Best Destinations compiles a list of the most popular locations across the continent. Moreover, they base their ranking on surveys of more than one million travelers from 172 countries. While 500 destinations were considered, the website has revealed its top destinations as follows.

1. Head to Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain

Coming out tops on the list, the beautiful resort town of Marbella (pronounced Mar-baya) on Spain’s Costa del Sol is considered by those polled as a five-star location for travelers. The town is famous for its warm sunny weather, gorgeous Mediterranean beaches (pictured top), lively nightlife upscale shopping and golfing. Among the nightlife, visitors can enjoy concerts with some of the top musicians in the world.

Moreover, Marbella is a top choice for foodies with its many restaurants, including three Michelin-starred establishments, serving delicious cuisine. Among the other eateries are tapas bars and chiringuitos (beach bars and restaurants), with a choice of everything from local fare to international cuisine. Also, a stroll through Marbella’s old town is a charming experience, with its narrow streets lined with homes and beautiful flowers.

2. Visit Monaco in 2024
