Although our trip to get to Sydney took thirty-five hours it was certainly worth it! There are thousands of islands and beaches to enjoy and also some of the most iconic structures to visit. Let’s not forget about the delicious seafood. So let’s take a look at some other reasons we feel you should visit Australia. We promise you, by the time you’re done, you’ll wish you had made the trip a long time ago.

One of our favorite reasons for visiting the “land down under,” is to see and experience all the natural wonders and breathtaking beauty that’s left untouched in Australia. Whether you want to hike to the top of Mount Augustus, the world’s biggest rock, or explore the Glass House Mountains in Queensland, there’s plenty of wonders to see. We can assure you, that you’ve never seen a body of water that comes close to Lake Hillier. It’s literally bubblegum pink!

2. Over 500 National Parks

Yeah, you saw that right. Australia has over 500 national parks to visit. Kakadu National Park is one gem that you won’t want to miss! There are all kinds of activities to do, waterfalls to see, rock art, and hiking trails. You don’t want to pass up on the tropical setting of Daintree National Park. If you have time, Mt. Fields National Park in Tasmania has many amazing waterfalls to walk to.

3. Enjoy the Wildlife

Nearly 90% of the wildlife in Australia can be found nowhere else on earth. So not only are you going to see animals you’ve probably never seen before, but it also makes going to see the wildlife there even more special. Who doesn’t want to come to Australia to see the kangaroos in Cape Le Grand National Park and the koala bears on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria?

Australia has over 11,000 beaches for your family to choose from. We recommend you visit Whitehaven Beach, which boasts the 2nd best beach in the world. The scenery, as well as the watercolor you’ll find, is absolutely stunning. If you’re in the Sydney area, the iconic Bondi Beach is a great place for people watching.

Two other honorable mentions, Gold Coast, and Burleigh Heads are known for their surfing, paddleboarding, and other water activities.

5.The Great Barrier Reef

Are you looking for some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world? Australia is where you’ll find it. The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest living organism. Or simply put, the largest coral reef in the world. It’s beautiful and filled with tropical fish and other sea creatures.

The city of Sydney is considered the most friendly city in the world. It’s also known for its diversity. So why wouldn’t it be on your list of cities to visit? There are so many wonderful places to visit, including Darling Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and The Rocks, just to name a few.
