Universal Studios Singapore Closed Over Pandemic Concerns
Universal Studios Singapore is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. As of Monday, April 6, 2020, Universal Studios halted operations and announced that it would remain closed through May 4, 2020. This is the latest Universal Studios theme to close due to COVID-19 pandemic. The company released a statement through Universal’s official website.
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) released a statement regarding the Singapore government’s decision. The company plans on refunding guests who had trips planned in the weeks to come.
Universal Studios Singapore Is Closed Due To The Coronavirus Pandemic
“Existing hotel guests already checked into our rooms will continue staying with us. We seek the understanding of guests that all reservations for room stays from 7 April 2020 to 4 May 2020 will be cancelled and fully refunded.”
“We will provide guests, who have purchased tickets to our attractions, made reservations at our restaurants or hotel bookings, with full support and assistance. Guests with any queries and concerns can reach out to us at enquiries@rwsentosa.com.”
The ever-growing concerns around the coronavirus have increased around the world. Each theme park has started to close its gates. Shanghai Disney Resort in mainland China was the first to close earlier this year. Then it continued with Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Hong Kong, Tokyo Disney Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Orlando, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, and Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

In Addition, Legoland, Seaworld, And Six Flags Have Also Closed Their Parks.
But among all the theme park shutdowns, there was one that remained open: Universal Studios Singapore. Due to the safety restrictions made by the government, the Universal Studios theme park was able to remain important. It appeared that there was some sense of normalcy in some part of the world. But of course, that wasn’t the case now that the park is closed. Singapore and other countries around the world have enforced social distancing standards for the entirety of April.
