Capella Hotels and Resorts has announced the upcoming arrival of Capella Kenting, an ultra-luxury resort, offering oceanfront views and personal hot springs in each villa. This will be the luxury hotel brand’s first resort and second property in Taiwan and is set to open its door to guests in 2028.

Meanwhile, this will be the first world-class resort to grace Southern Taiwan and is anticipated to elevate the region to new heights on the global tourism stage.

Cristiano Rinaldi, President of Capella Hotel Group said in a statement:

Luxury travel today is centered on personalization and immersive local experiences. Travelers seek journeys that nourish and harmonize the body, mind, and soul, making each trip both enriching and unforgettable.

Capella Kenting will embody these principles, and we are excited to collaborate with Riant Capital Limited and its subsidiary Win Full Co. Ltd. to bring an entirely new experience to our loyal and new guests.

Meanwhile, the partnership between Capella Group and Riant Capital Limited came from sharing a vision of the future potential of Kenting. Moreover, this is underscored by its rich tourism resources and CNN’s recognition of Kenting as one of Asia’s top ten underrated tourist destinations.

Aaron Chan, Chairman of Riant Capital said:

Introducing leading international hotel brands is crucial for showcasing Taiwan globally. We are thrilled to partner with Capella Group, renowned for crafting luxury travel experiences. This collaboration promises to significantly elevate Kenting and Taiwan’s global presence.

Nestling on a sprawling 99,000 square meter property on the western coastline of Taiwan’s Hengchun Peninsula in Pingtung, Capella Kenting was designed by Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, founders of ACPV Architects.

The architects were inspired in their work by Pingtung’s indigenous architecture and the rich natural environment of the Hengchun Peninsula. Citterio and Viel, who are renowned for their refined masterpieces, added touches such as low walls made from stacked stones, an element commonly found in the region’s tribal houses.

They ensured spaces to embrace the local environment, connecting guests to Kenting’s azure blue ocean. Meanwhile, with only 65 exclusive villas, the low-density resort will offer its guests privacy and tranquility.

Meanwhile, guests in each villa will enjoy a private swimming pool, hot spring facilities and a breathtaking 180-degree sea view. This allows them to soak in the serene beauty of the coastline and enjoy spectacular sunsets from the comfort of their rooms.
