Fans of Royal Caribbean can look forward to a new beach club. The cruise line made the announcement recently of the expansion of its destinations to include a new Royal Beach Club in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico. Meanwhile, the new destination is set to open in 2026. Read on to find out what we know so far about the exciting new development.

Royal Caribbean to open the Royal Beach Club Cozumel

Royal Caribbean is the largest cruise line in the world and is always looking for ways to make its cruises exciting and unique. It has announced its expansion of destinations while working with the local community and government of Mexico. Opening in 2026, the Royal Beach Club Cozumel is certainly a destination to look forward to on future cruises.

In a press statement, Jason Liberty, President and CEO of the Royal Caribbean group said:

We are delighted to build on our longstanding partnership with the local community and government to continue bringing our guests to Mexico. The expansion of our destination offerings aligns with the growing global demand for the ultimate vacation experiences and enables our guests to connect with the beauty of local cultures and people in the places they visit.

Martin Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International said in a press release:

The anticipation for what’s next when it comes to Royal Caribbean destinations has only continued to build since we revealed Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas that opens in 2025. Now is the perfect time to announce the next iteration of this collection with Royal Beach Club Cozumel.

Cozumel is an incredible destination, and the beach club will perfectly complement all the island has to offer as an experience that combines familiar Royal Caribbean touches with the spirit of Mexico, alongside amenities and activities for every type of vacationer.

According to the press release, Royal Caribbean said the new beach club will feature “striking beaches, views and pools for every vibe.

Meanwhile, Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo said how “very proud” they are that Royal Caribbean International has chosen Quintana Roo to build the new beach club in Cozumel. Lezama said that this new attraction will be enjoyed by many of the cruise line’s guests while visiting the “magical island.”

My administration will always be committed to partnering and working very closely with the private sector to build modern and sustainable infrastructure and create local jobs for our people.

“These kinds of projects reaffirm our commitment to continue to be the top port of call in Latin America,” added Lezama.

The beach club will be located along the western coast of the island, according to a Royal Caribbean press release. The news follows Royal Caribbean’s previous big reveal that Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas will open in 2025.

Besides plenty of fun on the gorgeous beach, the new beach club destination will offer pools, dedicated pools for relaxation enthusiasts, swim-up bars, private cabanas and more. Activities will include water sports such as kayaking and snorkeling.

Moreover, the new beach club will also offer a range of dining locations, including a restaurant bar and lounge with beautiful views. There will also be a street market and hands-on experiences like cooking classes and tequila-tasting sessions.

Meanwhile, the new beach club in Cozumel is just the latest of Royal Caribbean’s growing lineups, which already includes Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
