American Cruise Lines To Triple Hudson River Voyages In 2025

As American Cruise Lines concludes its first of several new summer Hudson River voyages, the cruise line is planning to triple its offers in 2025. In the past, the cruise line sailed the Hudson River during late September and October for fall foliage viewing. These voyages have been so popular, they often sold out a year in advance. For this reason, American Cruise Lines decided to try out several early summer voyages in May and June 2024.

American Cruise Lines and the ‘only Hudson River cruises in the world’

American Cruise Lines has announced that it has completed the first sailing of their newest itinerary, the 8-day Hudson River Summer Classic. After doing so, the cruise line has already tripled the number of Hudson River departures in 2025. American Cruise Line is the only in the world to offer overnight luxury river cruises on the Hudson River and for years, the Hudson River Fall Foliage cruises were only offered in September and October and often sold out more than a year in advance.

In 2024, the cruise line has tested several early summer sailings during May and June known as the 8-Day Hudson River Summer Classic, sailing roundtrip from New York City and exploring the full Hudson River Valley.

This new cruise offers guests sweeping views of Manhattan’s iconic skyline and sails past the Statue of Liberty. From there, the cruise includes visits to Catskill, Albany, Kingston, Hyde Park, West Point, and Sleepy Hollow and also guided excursions in NYC.

While the Hudson River Summer Classic is similar to the Fall Foliage cruise, it also offers great excursions to cultural sites throughout the Valley. Meanwhile, the cruises are particularly convenient for New Yorkers, as they sail from Pier 81 close to the Intrepid.

The cruise line has completed the first of several Hudson River Summer Classics with the last concluding in New York City on June 25th. Meanwhile, American is offering more than triple the number of sum departures, with sailings throughout June, July and August. These will be in addition to the always popular fall departures in late September and October.
