Hobbit Home – Charlevoix, Michigan

Fans of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ don’t have to venture all the way to New Zealand to get the feel of a hobbit’s home. The two-bedroom house is so quaint, but packed with hobbit-cottage charm that you almost won’t want to leave the cozy home. However, the lure of Lake Michigan within walking distance will get outside and enjoying the local shopping, ferry, drawbridge, and lighthouse.

Dog Bark Park Inn B&B – Cottonwood, Idaho

If you are a fan of furry friends, this beagle shaped rental is for you. The 2 bedroom vacation home is family-friendly and pet-friendly. Games galore wait inside this doghouse along with freshly baked treats. We love that the entire family is welcome at this Idaho-located home.

Orlando Theme House at Reunion Resort – Orlando, Florida

Just 6 miles from Disney World, you’ll find even more magic. Perfect for large families, the 5-bedroom oasis has so much to offer. A treehouse bed, a drive-in themed indoor movie theater, and private pool all await. The price may be a bit on the steeper side, but this location accommodates 18 people which means you could split the cost with a group or extended family.

Futuro Pod – Woodruff, Wisconsin

Fans of all things kitschy will love this UFO-shaped rental. The Pod lets a family of 4 sleep comfortably. The Wisconsin escape will allow you to enjoy the space-themed getaway with an echo of the 50’s. Hit the sandy beach on the private-access lake and watch your kids enjoy nature and cozy kitsch-factor.

I’d love to get some of our medical school friends together to rent that house in Orlando. It’d be about a 10-hour drive away, but it looks so cooL!

A Hobbit-styled home would be so much fun. There’s something so dreamy about all the grass that surrounds a Hobbit-styled home. Perfect vacation home for a family.
